If your stairlift was funded through a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) from Cheshire East Council or Cheshire West and Chester Council, the grant usually covers the initial 12-month manufacturer warranty only. After that, the stairlift becomes your property and ongoing servicing and repairs are your responsibility.
This isn't unique to Cheshire. It's how most UK councils work. Their budgets cover the assessment and installation of adaptations, but rarely extend to long-term servicing.
We offer annual service plans that cover scheduled maintenance and priority emergency call-outs. Usually cheaper than a manufacturer's extended warranty.
