LED Fault Diagnostics

LEDs 1 – 9 will flash once when the ECU is powered on (LED check)

LED 1

LED 1 – Failed (RED)
Will activate under the following conditions:
• Relay 3 (K3) contact weld
• Relay 1 and 2 (K1, K2) contact weld
• Direction input short circuit on control PCB (not wiring loom)
• Q1 failure
• Q2 failure
• Motor disconnected / Open circuit
Action:
• Reset board, re-check. Test for presence of short circuit.
Change PCB
• Check motor connections

LED 2

LED 2 – Low Voltage LED (RED)
Will activate when supply voltage (when running under load is <20V
Action:
• Check batteries
• Check cable resistance

LED 3

LED 3 – Current Limit LED (RED)
Will activate when lift stalls or draws excessive run current (>18A)
Action:
• Check motor, rollers, weight of user, obstruction of rail

LED 4

LED 4 – Brake LED (RED)
Will activate if there is a brake fault or it is not connected, or if Q6 is
short circuit
Action:
• Check brake circuits, check for output voltage
• Change board

LED5

LED 5 – RMU LED (RED)
Will activate when the RMU switch operates and will be continually
on if the RMU has tripped
Action:
• Check RMU operation
• Check output from ECU
• Check continuity of Reed switch
• Check continuity of wiring and connections
• Replace RMU switch

LED 6

LED 6 – Halfspeed switch LED (YELLOW)
Will activate when the lift is in half speed i.e. travelling on inside
bend rail section

LED 7

LED 7 – Slow switch LED (YELLOW)
Will activate when the slowing switch operates
Action:
• Use for setting slowing ramps

LED 8

LED 8 – Call exists (YELLOW)
Will activate when a call has been placed and received at the control
PCB
Action:
• Lights when call button is pressed and the direction safety circuit
is closed

LED 9

LED 9 – PIC Diagnostics LED (GREEN)
Will pulse once per second indicating correct software operation
Action:
• No pulse, reset, re-check
• Change boa
