Stannah 420 Stairlift Repair & Troubleshooting

Stairlift is making a beeping noise ?
Stairlift batteries are not charging properly
Check the wall switch is set to the on position or pluged in.
Check to see if there is a power cut in your home
If you have a hinged rail fitted, press and hold the ‘up’ arrow on the remote calling control to make sure the hinged rail is fully raised.
If you cannot correct the fault, you can switch off the beeper by turning the master power switch to the off position. and Call Repair engineer.
Power light is off.
Check the master power switch is set to on.
- The Power switch is on the rear of the chair and should normally be left on
If the power light is on:
- Check the chair is swivelled back to its travelling position
- Check there is no obstruction to the safetly edges; if there is, remove the obstruction
- Check the hinged rail is fully lowered; if installed
Stairlift keep stopping every inch or two.
This is a common but serious fault, caused by multibal issues , CALL AN ENGINEER
Acorn 80/180 Curved Stairlift

If this symbol is displayed, DO NOT use the hand winder in the down direction as this could damage the stairlift. Contact your stairlift supplier immediately. That means the OSG overspeed governer is on.
CODE E7
If the stairlift has not been charging due to lack of mains power (during a power interruption), or the lift has been used frequently enough to show a low battery sign (E7) on the digital display, the stairlift will allow the user to bring the unit DOWN to the nearest charging station. The unit will not allow the user to travel in the UP direction until the batteries are CHARGING CHARGED LOW BATTERY .
