When it comes to reconditioned or used stairlifts, we're in a slightly unusual position. We strip stairlifts every day as part of our repair work. So we know every part, every wear point and every weak spot. When we rebuild a reconditioned unit, we replace anything that isn't 100%, not just the obvious bits.
That's the difference between a used stairlift and a properly reconditioned one.
Most reconditioned stairlifts for sale are just cleaned up and tested. Ours aren't. Because we work on stairlifts every single day, we know exactly what fails and when. That knowledge goes into every unit we rebuild.
We strip every stairlift right down to the frame. We inspect the motor, gearbox, PCB, wiring, carriage, rail, safety edges and limit switches. If a component is even slightly worn, it gets replaced. Not just the bits that customers can see. That's how we can offer a 12-month warranty and mean it.
A properly reconditioned stairlift is a smart option for a lot of homes. Here's why.
A reconditioned stairlift usually costs a good deal less than a brand-new one, without sacrificing safety or reliability.
Reconditioned stairlifts are already in stock, so there's no long wait for a factory order. We can often install within days.
Reusing and rebuilding a stairlift keeps it out of landfill and reduces the materials needed for a brand new unit.
Four stages. Every unit. No shortcuts.
The stairlift is completely dismantled. We inspect every component: motor, gearbox, PCB, wiring, carriage, rail, safety edges and limit switches.
Every part is cleaned and, where needed, refurbished. Worn components get replaced with new or high-quality refurbished parts. Nothing gets hidden or bodged.
We test the full electrical system, the brakes, the safety edges and the limit switches. Nothing leaves us without passing every test.
Our own engineers install the stairlift in your home, test it in place, and show you how to use it safely. We don't sub-contract.
We supply reconditioned stairlifts for both straight and curved staircases.
The most cost-effective option. Straight stairlifts are ideal for standard staircase layouts, and reconditioned units are usually in stock and ready to install quickly.
Curved stairlifts are more complex, because the rail has to suit your staircase. We can still supply reconditioned units, and in some cases re-use an existing curved rail. Call us to discuss.
Availability varies, so give us a ring and we'll tell you what we have in stock.
We're not just resellers. We rebuild, install and support the stairlifts we sell.
The same engineers who repair stairlifts every day are the ones who rebuild the reconditioned units. We know what matters, because we see what fails.
Every reconditioned stairlift we supply comes with a minimum 12-month warranty. Extended cover available.
If anything needs attention after installation, we're local. No waiting on a national call centre.
We supply and install reconditioned stairlifts across the North West.
